Our expert team of shoppers picked her up and surprised her with the news that our day of shopping was going to be for her. We scheduled a professional fitting at Nordstrom where we were treated like shopping royalty, and then we whisked her off to Macy's, Lane Bryant, Nordstrom Rack, and Old Navy. At each location we made sure that she was waited on hand and foot, as she tried things on we rushed to bring her all of our cutest selections and give fashion feedback. We were quite a shopping team.
She was overwhelmed by all the attention; I know she had never experienced anything like it. Every girl should be able to feel the confidence that comes with new school clothes and the excitement of a shopping spree just for her, and it was all possible because of your help.

It was an eye opening experience for us to take a glimpse into the life of two girls who have been shuffled from place to place their whole life. Neither one has ever had a real home and both face a very harsh reality after their graduation this June. Despite this, both girls have taken more initiative than the average high school student and have made promising steps toward a future career in nursing and dental assisting. With both girls we were surprised by a level intelligence and gratitude that was beyond their years.
It was a privilege to be a stuart of your generosity and we want to let you know that it was deeply appreciated. We took our responsibility as fashion advisors very seriously. As we whisked the girls around the mall in search of items to fill their needs, to provide them with confidence and also just to make them happy. Alyssa told us that she had never shopped in rich people stores before (Macy's), and that she had always wanted to wear leggings like the other girls at school. Rose was thrilled to be able to get her nails done and get high heel shoes for the Senior Prom.
